About

I kind of backed into this.

I'm a Marine, and throughout my career I've had a habit of ending up at the table with people making bigger decisions than my job title suggested. Someone would bring me in when something was complicated and needed a person to connect the dots.

That followed me into civilian life. I spent more than eight years leading global talent marketing, recruiting strategy, and community development for Fortune 500 companies, with detours through consumer insights, product development, project management, and public relations for government and nonprofits.

In 2024 I hit hard corporate burnout and decided to build something of my own. I pulled together everything I'd learned about branding, communication, research, marketing, talent, and community, and realized fast that I didn't want to be another agency people hire for one piece of the puzzle.

I wanted to sit at the table and help figure out the puzzle.

That's what fractional CMO work is. I look at the whole customer journey and help an organization see where the biggest opportunities are, whether that's the brand and story, the website, campaigns and content, customer experience, a stronger presence at events, key accounts, or a focused 90-day sprint to actually get the work moving.

The common thread is strategy. I'm not interested in creating more marketing just to create more marketing. I want to understand what the business is trying to accomplish, what's getting in the way, and where marketing can create momentum.

What makes me different

It's the combination of how I think and why I care. I have an engineering background through the Marine Corps, so I'm organized, detail-oriented, and wired to understand how things work. I like complicated problems. I like asking a lot of questions, especially the ones that uncover what everyone else overlooked. Then I find the patterns, connect the dots, and turn it into something people can understand and care about.

That's where the creative side comes in. I love helping people articulate why they do what they do and watching someone go from "I don't know how to explain this" to telling a story that makes people lean in.

And then there's the part that doesn't fit on a marketing résumé. I'm happiest outside: snowboarding, mountain biking, yoga, and being part of the veteran community. I believe movement, community, and time in nature change people. They've changed me. That's why I'm building this practice around outdoor, adventure, and experiential organizations doing work I believe in.
